ELENA ZLATKOVA
Elena hails from the capital city of B ulgaria, Sofia. She started to play the violin at the age of five.
She completed her MMus in Music degree at the State Academy of Music in Sofia with distinction in 2011.
Elena performs regularly for South Africa’s most prominent corporate companies and financial institutions.
Elena has been a full-time member of several chamber, symphonic and philharmonic orchestras in Bulgaria and South Africa.
Her recordings have been featured on the former Classic FM and her new albums – “Fusion in Motion” and “Romance” are available on Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, to name a few.
In addition to her performance career, Elena is passionate about teaching the violin and holds a full-time teaching position at all-girls school in Johannesburg. Furthermore, Elena believes in life-long learning and has formally engaged with studies in Psychology and Kinesiology. She graduated with a PGCE degree in 2022.
Elena is a firm believer in the regenerating and healing properties of music and is at a start of a new journey where she incorporates her training and gifts to enhance and encourage the well-being of others.
She is offering a vibrational therapy on a hand-build Monochord instrument, inspired by Pythagoras.
The Monochord is created as an instrument to lie on and experience a full-body sound massage.
There are twenty resonating strings attached underneath the instrument. The tuning can vary to accommodate different therapy goals such as releasing anxiety and stress.
